ANNUAL SPELL-A-THON

The Friends of the Morongo Basin libraries (Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms) and the Kiwanis Club of Twentynine Palms are partnering to benefit your local library. Through team pledges and donations, the Spell-A-Thon raises money to help the nonprofit library groups provide services, like the popular Summer Reading Program, for children and adults in the Morongo Basin.

You don't have to be an amazing speller to have fun and help your team. Each three person team works together to spell given words in rotation. Your team can be made up of friends, co-workers, or fellow service club members. Rules, practice words, and pledge sheets can be downloaded below.

Prizes are awarded to the team that spells the most words correctly. There are also prizes for the second place teams and for the team with the greatest dollar amount in pledges. Drawings for door prizes for spectators as well as the team members will be available.

Space is limited. The fee is $25 per team.
